After months of anticipation, I finally got Hancock out as a “thank-goodness-it’s-Friday” celebration. I put aside my dislike for Will Smith’s acting (he redeemed himself in I Am Legend so I figured he deserved a chance), and settled down to enjoy an “action-packed comedy”. Boy was I wrong. The DVD cover should have described it as dry, witless humour, two-dimensional characters and a flawed and uneventful plot. Not even the talented Charlize Theron could save this super-stinker.
